Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Doctria mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including those who access the Service without creating an account.

Eligibility

Doctria is intended for use by licensed medical professionals. By registering, you represent that you are a licensed or supervised healthcare professional. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that misrepresent professional status. The Service is not intended for patient use or for obtaining medical advice.

Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for all content you post on Doctria. By posting a case or any other content, you represent and warrant that:

  • The content does not contain any Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA, including but not limited to patient names, dates of birth, geographic identifiers, contact information, or any other information that could identify an individual patient.
  • You have obtained any consent required by applicable law for sharing the clinical content.
  • The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is shared for educational and peer-learning purposes.

Not Medical Advice

Content posted on Doctria, including AI-generated summaries, is for educational and peer discussion purposes only. Nothing on the platform constitutes medical advice, a clinical diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. All clinical decisions must be made by a qualified healthcare professional based on individual patient circumstances.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post any content containing identifiable patient information
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your credentials
  • Use the Service for commercial solicitation or advertising
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
  • Post content that is defamatory, harassing, or unlawful
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting on Doctria, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content to other users of the Service for the purposes of operating the platform. We do not claim ownership of your content.

The Doctria name, logo, and all platform software are the exclusive property of Doctria. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

AI-Generated Content

Doctria may provide AI-generated summaries and clinical context for cases posted on the platform. This content is generated automatically and has not been reviewed by a licensed clinician. It may contain errors or omissions. You agree to use AI-generated content only as a supplementary reference, not as a basis for clinical decision-making.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Doctria at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time from the app Settings.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doctria shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including any clinical decisions made in reliance on content posted on the platform.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Delaware.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
